The International Association of Mediterranean Forests (AIFM) is a non-governmental organization, founded in 1996 and based in France, dedicated to fostering the global exchange of knowledge and experiences concerning Mediterranean forests and other wooded lands. AIFM actively engages in the development and implementation of cooperative programs as part of its mission. The overarching objective of these collaborative efforts is to identify and address challenges encountered in the management and conservation of Mediterranean forest areas through collective reflection, ultimately maximizing their benefits.
