The Botanic Garden of Soller (BGS) is the unique botanic garden in Balearic Islands, a place for conservation where plants take centre stage.
Since it was open to the public in 1992, Sóller Botanic Garden has grown into a regional leader in plant conservation and a recommended reference point for tourists who visit the Islands.
Today, Sóller Botanic Garden has de largest, most diverse collections of living plants and preserved botanical specimens (seedbank and herbarium) from Balearic Islands. The landscape contains great scientific collections of Balearic plants, plants from other Mediterranean islands and from Canary Islands as well, including rare, useful and ancient varieties of fruit trees, vegetables and cereals from Balearics.
Also noteworthy are the work in ethnobotany with important collections of medicinal, culinary and ornamental plants.
The Botanic Garden of Sóller provide a living reference library for scientists, and a dynamic and playful landscape in which to enjoy the harmony, beauty and learning of this diverse natural kingdom on which all life depends.
